About Us

Cryo Solutions Inc. (CSI) is a young growing company that offers several services in the fields of compressed gases and cryogenics. Its three founding partners, Anthony Langenhuizen, Patrick Laplante and Jean-François Gauthier have over 55 years of experience in the industry, with expertise ranging from transport logistics, to strategic planning, to the complete rehabilitation of cryogenic tanks. Established on the south shore of Montreal in a building of more than 15,000 square feet at the cutting edge of technology, its mission is as follows: to make repairs and modifications in accordance with or beyond customer expectations, the requirements of the industry and applicable standards in a safe manner while maintaining the highest standards in terms of deadlines and quality, all at the best possible costs. Its main activities are the inspection, repair and rehabilitation of stationary tanks and cryogenic trailers. With its fifteen employees, CSI notably performs helium leak detection on equipment but also makes all other necessary repairs on stationary and mobile equipment such as running gear, piping, instrumentation and tank itself. The company is also recognized by equipment manufacturers and insurance companies for performing expert inspections and repairs under warranty or under claims for compensation.

To do this, CSI has a Certificate of Authorization from the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors as well as the necessary permits from the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) with regards to pressure installations. CSI also has a Transport Canada Certificate of Registration under CSA B620-20 to carry out the required periodic inspections and tests on trailers. CSI also has a long-term agreement with a design engineer to perform calculations, designs and drawings necessary for repairs when required.

Anthony Langenhuizen has unique expertise in high pressure cylinders and cryogenic tanks. For nearly 40 years, he has been able to perfect his knowledge and execute projects of all sizes. He is an important player in advancing the field of tube trailer and cryogenic tank repair. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with clients and manufacturers to develop services tailored to their needs. He remains at the forefront of new practices and regulations to maintain a high level of quality and safety in the field of cryogenic gas transportation in North America.

Patrick Laplante has extensive experience having worked for several years in the chemical industry. Jean-François Gauthier was able to use his engineering training to advance the operation and maintenance of cryogenic equipment.

Together, Patrick and Jean-François have participated, directly or indirectly, in all LNG projects in Quebec since 2010. They were involved in the first ferry bunkerings of Société des Traversiers du Québec in Matane. They also took part in the first deliveries of LNG to power natural gas generators at Stornoway Diamonds’s Renard Mine in northern Quebec. Patrick and Jean-François have their TIR-GNC, TIR-GNL and mGNL cards issued by Emploi Quebec. They also participated with the École de Technologie Gazière d'Énergir in creating the content of training courses and exams. They are the ones who established all the transport logistics and delivery procedures to Groupe Desgagnés ships at the ports of Montreal and Quebec.

In addition, CSI sits, through its owners, on various technical committees in the field of cryogenics, including the CSA B620 and CSA Z276 standards committees.

Finally, through its experience, the company offers consulting services on equipment, their operation, maintenance and special projects related to liquid or compressed industrial gases.
